Golden State Warriors star point guard
Stephen Curry has stated
he is 100 percent sure that he along with shooting guard
Klay Thompson and
power forward
Draymond Green are going to be associated with the franchise for ‘life’.
There have been reports about the future of certain Warriors
players in the recent past, especially including the likes of Thompson and
Green.
Curry has been recently quoted in a report where he rejected
such rumours and stated that he is 100 percent certain that all three players
will be Warriors for life.
"One hundred percent," Curry said. "And I
think that's always been a motivator for us. The way we talk about it is we
want to, not only in our career as a Warrior to continue to compete at a high
level, but you want to end it the right way.
"I think we've been doing a lot this year, and the
three of us, especially with Draymond absent for a while and Klay taking on a
new role, the new cast of characters we have that are right alongside us in
this journey — I think it's extremely possible to accomplish both," Curry
told Andrews. We just have to protect the identity of who we are as best we
can, and I think we're moving in that right direction."
Curry has been a star performer for the Warriors this season
where he is averaging 28 points per game, sixth-best in the competition. To go
with that, he is also averaging 4.4 rebounds and five assists per game.
Thompson too is
having an impressive season on a personal level where he is averaging 17.3
points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Green has been the least
involved out of all three players in the competition as he is averaging 9.7
points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game.
