The
Dallas Mavericks are looking like a real threat in the Western Conference. Although they are the eighth seed in their conference, many analysts agree that they are getting better at the right time and could pose problems for multiple teams in the postseason.
The Mavericks also have an open roster spot right now after trading three players and only getting two in return. Therefore, they have some options when it comes to adding one more player to the lineup.
Morris would be a smart fit for the Mavs because he is putting up 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, shooting 43.9% from the field and 40% from the three-point line.
Plus, his brother Markieff is already on the team and that would give Marcus even more incentive to sign with them. With his years of experience and toughness, he could bring a lot to the team.
Killian Hayes would be another wise move made by Dallas' front office. After being waived by the Detroit Pistons, Hayes could find a second career as a backup point guard for the Mavericks.
Hayes has had his fair share of problems and wouldn't be a first option for Dallas, especially with
Kyrie Irving healthy. But he could help the team at times and he is young, just 22 years old.
Otto Porter Jr.
Just like so many other teams in the NBA, the Mavericks could use some help on the wing and Otto Porter Jr. could do that for them. At six-foot-eight, he could be a forward that could be very productive off the bench. He has proven himself to be a solid shooter and can create off the dribble too. All of that would make him very attractive to the Mavericks and a great part of Jason Kidd's rotation.
