Every year, starting with the regular season and until the trade deadline, there's this period of time that's almost as exciting as NBA basketball. The trade negotiations are open and teams are on the look for players that can change their present (or future). Trade season will be ending on February 8th and o far, there have been a lot of interesting moves.
As we are getting closer and closer to the deadline day, we decided to review every completed transaction during this season, from the closing of the 2023 Free Agency until today, not counting the two-way contracts.
The list of all the signings and transfers of the NBA Market 2023/24
- Ish Smith signs as a free agent with Charlotte Hornets for one year and $3.2 million (Oct. 24, 2023).
- James Harden, traded to Los Angeles Clippers along with PJ Tucker and Filip Petrusev in exchange for Kenyon Martin, Robert Covington, Marcus Morris Sr. and Nicolas Batum, to Philadelphia 76ers, with intervening draft rounds to Sixers and Oklahoma City Thunder (Nov. 1, 2023).
- Filip Petrusev, traded from Clippers to Sacramento Kings in exchange for cash (Nov. 1, 2023).
- Bismack Biyombo signs as a free agent with Memphis Grizzlies for one year and $5 million, only one guaranteed. He was cut by the team on January 10, 2024.
- Golden State Warriors sign Gui Santos for three years and $5.14 million (Nov. 7, 2023).
- Daniel Theis signs with the Los Angeles Clippers on a contract through the end of the season after coming off the waiver list (November 17, 2023).
- Taj Gibson signs with the New York Knicks on a contract through the end of the season on December 15, 2023, cut on January 7, 2024.
- Indiana Pacers sign James Johnson to a contract through the end of the season (Dec. 15, 2023).
- Juan Toscano-Anderson signs with Sacramento Kings on a contract through the end of the season on December 15, 2023, cut on January 7, 2024.
- Theo Maledon signs a one-year contract with Phoenix Suns (Dec. 17, 2023).
- Toronto Raptors trades OG Anunoby to New York Knicks along with Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn, in exchange for RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and the second round of the 2024 Draft.
- Detroit Pistons trade Marvin Bagley III, Isaiah Livers and two second-round draft picks to Washington Wizards for Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala.
- Toronto Raptors trade Pascal Siakam to Indiana Pacers along with a second-round draft pick in exchange for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr., two first-round picks in the 2024 Draft and a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 Draft.
- Charlotte Hornets trade Terry Rozier III to Miami Heat in exchange for Kyle Lowry and the first round of the 2027 Draft.
