Milwaukee Bucks are going through an impressive season by
all accounts. Currently, they are placed in second place on the points
table in the Eastern Conference with 42 wins and 23 defeats.
While those results are a testament to how things have gone
well on the court, they still had to change their manager midway through the
season and brought in an experienced head coach in
Doc Rivers.
Since his arrival, things have been far from perfect but despite
that, there is a pattern of play that has started to develop.
Looking at how the Bucks play, it seems that the focus of Rivers
is to ensure that the side becomes a defensive powerhouse and that’s what has
happened in the last nine matches where they ended up winning seven and lost
just two.
There was a sense when Rivers arrived that he would have a
massive job at hand, considering the star’s presence and the expectations that come
with it.
But it seems that the 62-year-old is rather focusing on having
a team with a particular identity which can eventually lead the side to glory,
either this year or the next.
As things stand, with a thriving defensive unit and in-form
attacking players like
Giannis Antetokounmpo and
Damian Lillard, there is a lot to be optimistic about if you are a Bucks fan.
