The news hits hard to the Atlanta Hawks fanbase as now, besides their superstar Trae Young being out, Saddiq Bey, one of the teams' most improved players, suffered a torn ACL on his left knee.
The Atlanta Hawks are having a challenging season. Despite being a team with enough talent to compete, the Hawks have been inconsistent throughout the entire campaign. In addition, health issues appeared, first it was Trae Young who needed surgery to repair his hand, and now, Saddiq Bey, Hawks' talented small forward, suffered a season ending injury, a torn ACl.
Bey was averaging 13.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists. The timing of this injury couldn't be worse, Bey was about to become and restricted free agent, and several teams were interested in him.
Now, with all the injury drama, it's possible that the interest in him slows down because of the time that could take Saddiq to fully recover.
Atlanta will miss Saddiq, without him it will be more challenging to hold that 10th spot they have right now. Fortunately, their immediate chaser, Toronto Raptors is near, but they still have several wins over them.
