During the game between the
Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers,
Al Horford's sister called out a fan for addressing disrespectfully to Russel Westbrook.
Anna Horford is a regular on NBA Twitter. The sister of the veteran power forward from Boston has been in the media eye after echoing the unfortunate situation that Westbrook experienced with a Heat fan.
The man, who was sitting courtside, was caught on video booing Westbrook. Among the things the fan called him was the slur "boy." The term, which in the United States has racial undertones dating back to the 1700s and 1800s, prompted the ejection of the Heat fan.
On the altercation, Anna Horford commented as follows: "NBA fans always say Boston is bad.... Pay attention to Florida. F*cking inexcusable. He better get suspended for life," she said on X - formerly Twitter-.
Horford's sister, in addition to asking that the fan never be allowed to enter a pavilion again in his life, referred to the reputation that the State of Massachusetts has when it comes to the large amount of racism among its inhabitants. However, he did not mince words in stating that Florida is a place where racism is strongest.
