The
Boston Celtics fans celebrated the side’s 60th
win which gave them a home advantage in the upcoming NBA playoffs.
The Celtics continued their winning streak as they defeated
an already playoffs-qualified
Oklahoma City Thunder side with a score of 135-100
at the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday.
With that win, the Celtics have now secured the home
advantage throughout the NBA playoffs and the Finals this season. It was only
the third time in the history of the NBA that the Celtics have secured 60 or more wins
in the regular season.
Those numbers caused the fans to celebrate and they did so on
the social media platform X. “I'm not chopping onions. You're chopping onions,”
one user wrote. “Best record in NBA is officially ours,” another one wrote.
The star of the show on the night for the winning team was Kristaps
Porzingis who registered 27 points to go with 12 rebounds and four assists.
He was well-supported by forward Jayson Tatum and shooting
guard Jaylen Brown. Tatum finished with 24 points to go with seven rebounds and
three assists to his name. On the other hand, Brown registered 23 points to go
with seven rebounds on the night.
