Victor Wembanyama outstanding performance for San Antonio
Spurs against Washington Wizards earned him praise from the fans on social media.
The 20-year-old was just stoppable in the match as he ended
up registering 24 points in 28 minutes on the court with the help of eight rebounds
and four assists. It was the fifth consecutive occasion in the competition
where Wembanyama ended up registering 20 or more points.
That performance helped the Spurs in coming from behind in the final
quarter and secure a much-needed win with a score of 131-127.
After that performance, Wembanyama received a lot of praise
from fans on the social media platform X—previously known as Twitter.
One user
went as far as to say that in two years time, the youngster will become a ‘monster’
of a player to deal with.
Give Wemby one two more years and he is going to be a monster.
The Le Chesnay-born is having an impressive time on the court
for Spurs this season where he is averaging 19.9 points per game with to go
with 10.1 rebounds per game.
His best performance this season in a match came against Los
Angeles Lakers where he registered 30 points with 13 rebounds and two assists. Wembanyama
ended up registering 30 points on one more occasion, against Portland Trail
Blazers, where he also contributed with six rebounds and six assists.
