NBA analyst Jason Timpf believes that other
Golden State Warriors
have to contribute more as
Stephen Curry cannot take the team forward alone.
The 36-year-old has been the star performer for the Warriors
in the ongoing campaign where the side has struggled throughout. It is for this reason they are currently placed in the 10th spot in the
Western Conference with 36 wins and 32 defeats.
Timpf was recently quoted in a report where he stated that the Warriors’
struggle on the offensive front is evident without Curry, something they need
to address before the start of the all-important playoffs.
"The Warriors can really struggle offensively unless
Steph goes supernova,” he said. “And obviously Steph still can go supernova.
He's still absolutely capable of that. ... (But) no superstar can go supernova
every single night, especially when they get into their late 30s, and Steph's
36 years old now.
"When that happens the Warriors desperately need
consistent offensive production off of Steph and none of those guys are
consistent and it shines the light on the inconsistencies of the role
players."
Curry has contributed 26.8 points per game this season, by
far the best by any Warriors player. To go with that, he has also contributed
4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
