Damian Lillard is eying a three-peat
of the 3-point contest in the NBA
All-Star.
The 33-year-old was simply outstanding on the day as he won
the 3-point contest for the second year running. He ended up posting 26 points to
win the contest which levelled him Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota
Timberwolves, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Tyrese Haliburton of the
Indiana Pacers.
On the tiebreaker, Lillard went on to clinch the contest.
After the match, he confirmed to numerous media outlets that he is looking to
take part in the contest next year to go for a three-peat, especially because
the event will be organised in his hometown.
Lillard is having an impressive season for the Bucks where
he is averaging 24.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game. In his most
recent outing against the Memphis Grizzlies, he ended up registering 24 points
to go with five rebounds and seven assists.
The best outing for the California-born this season while
playing for the Bucks came in the match against the Detroit Pistons where he
ended up registering 45 points to go with six rebounds and 11 assists. It was
the second time this season that he registered 40 or more points for the
Bucks.
