"Worst starter of all time": Fans react after Bam Adebayo replaces Joel Embiid in All-Star game

Fans on social media left unhappy after Miami Heat centre Bam Adebayo replaced Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid in the NBA All-Star game.

The most awaited weekend for basketball fans in the country is finally here where fans will witness the finest players in two teams showing their supreme talent on the court.

One big absence will be the Sixers star Embiid who will miss the contest because of an injury. He has been replaced by Adebayo.

The development did not go well with the fans on the social media platform X—previously known as Twitter. One of them even went on to call the player the ‘worst starter of all time’ in the All-Star contest.

Adebayo is having a more than decent season for the Heat where he is averaging 20.2 points, and 4.2 assists per game. That’s not it as he has also contributed 10.6 rebounds per game which is the seventh-best in the competition. In his most recent outing against the Sixers, he ended up registering 23 points to go with 13 rebounds and four assists.

His best outing this season came in the match against the Milwaukee Bucks back in November 2023 where he registered 31 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists.
