Damian Lillard on internet trolling of Thanasis Antetokounmpo: "It's disrespectful"

Milwaukee Bucks veteran point guard Damian Lillard has lambasted the people on social media for criticising his teammate Thanasis Antetokounmpo.

The 31-year-old, Giannis Antetokounmpo 's brother, has been heavily criticised by some fans on social media in the recent past for his inconsistent performances for the Bucks.

Lillard was recently quoted in a report where he not only criticised those who are trolling his teammate but stated that he is even ready to bet that none could beat the small forward in a one-on-one game.

“Here’s the thing about TA. People try to be funny but I would put good money that a lot of those people talking on Twitter wouldn’t be able to beat him in the game of one-on-one,” he said.

“Like his defensively. he’s big, he’s strong, he’s athletic, he’s competitive. It’s disrespectful. I see a lot of stuff on social media about TA, there’s people who think they are more talented or have more ability but they could never take his spot. You’re not going to find a guy that’s more about the team and shows up and works hard.”

Antetokounmpo has been hardly involved this season for the Bucks where he has played 23 games, but on average, was on the court for just 4.6 minutes.
