Draymond Green starred in one of the most unfortunate assaults in NBA history, grabbing
Jusuf Nurkic by the neck during a matchup between the
Phoenix Suns and
Golden State Warriors. Despite his very long record, the NBA considered that 12 games was enough for Draymond to play again and yesterday he faced Nurkic again on the court.
The Bosnian center was not at all satisfied with how Green behaved with him after they met again and charged very harshly. Among other things, he ridiculed him after a basket by making the 'small' gesture: "It's sad. He didn't learn anything. It's just a matter of time. He's going to hit somebody else again. I take back everything I said. He doesn't deserve a chance. Clowning around. He's trying to hit people."
DRAYMOND GREEN'S ANSWER.
Green, for his part, smiling as always and playing down the seriousness of the matter as if having drowned a fellow professional didn't oblige him to behave a little more politely when they faced each other again, attacked Nurkic:
"You can't be an advocate for nothing if you're going to do that. If you want me to go around quiet like him, I'll never do it. The quiet ones don't win."
