Skip Bayless calls Anthony Edwards’ game-winning block overrated "easiest block you'll ever see." (h/t @awfulannouncing )
On Thursday night, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards had a monster block against the Indiana Pacers, helping lead the way to a big 113-111 win for this squad.
For many, it was a very impressive block that secured a victory. But for Skip Bayless, it was nothing to write home about.
Speaking on Undisputed on Friday, Bayless called Edwards' move "the easiest block you'll ever see" and said that if he didn't do it, someone else playing for the Timberwolves would have.
Bayless' co-host, Keyshawn Johnson, sat flabbergasted at Bayless' statement, saying that Edwards' block was truly sensational and worthy of serious praise. The two hosts didn't see eye to eye and probably won't any time soon.
Edwards had a miraculous game for his Timberwolves, scoring 44 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. His performance came at a very important time for the team, as they had just lost Karl-Anthony Towns for an indefinite time due to knee surgery.
If the Timberwolves are going to remain the top team in the Western Conference, they will need Edwards to keep playing incredibly well in the weeks ahead. With the regular season winding down, competition in that conference is only going to heat up.
The Timberwolves are currently the first seed in the West with a 44-19 record. The Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets are right behind them with 43-19 and 43-20 respectively.
