Just a moment ago, the Memphis Grizzlies finalized a deal in which they traded veteran center, Steven Adams in return for Victor Oladipo and three second round picks, according to ESPN sources. This trade brings some relief to the Grizzlies salary cap, which is pretty loaded. In addition, those 3 draft picks will be useful to have as a valuable asset to offer when negotiating to land more talent to help Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr and Desmond Bane.
To top all that, it has been confirmed that the Grizzlies will acquire two of those second-round picks in the 2024 draft and another in the 2025 draft as part of this trade.
On the other hand, the Rockets welcome a healthy Steven Adams for the start of the 2024-2025 season, which will complement rising center Alperen Sengun. Adams, recognized as one of the league's best defensive and rebounding 'fives' in recent years, joins the Rockets' roster to strengthen their inside game.
