Fans reacted on social media after news broke that the NBA has fined the
Philadelphia 76ers $100,000 for failing to properly report the injury to star
Joel Embiid.
The 30-year-old made his return to action after more than two months out with injury in Tuesday's game against the
Oklahoma City Thunder.
However, as per the report, the NBA has fined the Sixers $100,000
for not updating about the player’s injury status before the start of the
match.
As per the report, the player was not in the playing squad
but yet he took part in the match and played 29 minutes for the winning team
and registered 24 crucial points as well. The report further stated that the
Sixers have done this kind of thing in the past as well.
Fans were left shocked about the development and they expressed
their reaction in a different manner on the social media platform X.
"That's pennies for a competitive advantage like the
Sixers continually seem to need. Fine them $30 million for the next offense,"
one fan wrote. "For anyone complaining about this you can't just rule an
MVP level player out and then rule him back in an hour before tipoff after the
opposing team sits their two best players," another fan wrote.
