The tale of the night for the NBA Friday,
Los Angeles Lakers vs
Milwaukee Bucks promises to be special. Regardless that
LeBron James,
Anthony Davis and
Giannis Antetokounmpo are questionable for the battle, both teams are in need of a win to bounce back from the decepointing losses against the Kings and the Warriors respectively. LA's future depends on every win if they want to avoid the play-in. Milwaukee is followed nearly by Cleveland, at just one win to take that second spot in the East.
The Bucks, as visitors, have the opportunity to cut, even by one game, the big gap they have with the leader in the East, Boston Celtics, who have lost their last two games, but remain at the top with a 48-14 record. Milwaukee, meanwhile, is 2nd with a 41-22 record, the Cleveland Cavaliers (3rd at 40-22) are right on their heels.
The Lakers, meanwhile, find themselves in a much more delicate situation. LA is in 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 34-30, the last position that gives a chance to get to the playoffs, but going through an exhausting play-in tournament as visitors. However, they have a good chance to surpass the Golden State Warriors (9th at 33-29), who stumbled last night against the Chicago Bulls, and worse, with Stephen Curry suffering an injury that forced him to leave the game.
