The
Los Angeles Lakers legendary forward
LeBron James has
talked about how teammate
Austin Reaves gained his trust in the recent past.
Both players have been a regular part of the Lakers side
over the last few seasons and played a key role in the team’s success this
season as well.
James, while talking in the Mine The Game podcast, talked about
how Reaves managed to gain his trust in the previous campaign, something that
has been very valuable for him.
“Obviously, last year, in the [Grizzlies] series, [Austin
Reaves] gained a lot of trust from me. But also I trusted him to make the
plays… Just was like, AR, go win this for us.”
Reaves is having a decent campaign for the Lakers where he
is contributing 16.1 points per game which is the fourth-best by a player for
the franchise in the ongoing campaign. To go with that, he is also contributing
4.3 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
On the other hand, James
is having another fabulous season on a personal level where he is contributing
25.3 points per game, the best by any Lakers player in the ongoing campaign. To
go with that, he is also contributing 7.3 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game.
