El palo de Grant Williams a Luka en su debut con los Hornets es interesante. "Es bonito ganar y jugar por el nombre que se lleva en el pecho, no en la espalda. Todo el mundo tocaba el balón, confiábamos los unos en los otros".
The Dallas Mavericks were one of the most active teams on the last hours prior to the trade deadline. In one of the great deals they closed, they managed to send Grant Williams to the Charlotte Hornets in order to land PJ Washington in Texas. It seems like there was more than just business involved in Williams departure.
Another chapter of this Mavericks-Grant Williams drama took place at Williams' press conference after the victory of the Charlotte Hornets against the Memphis Grizzlies, on Saturday night at Charlotte.
During the conference, Williams took some shots against the Texan franchise, or at least that's what it seemed to:

"It's great to get a win for the City you know, and...really play for the jersey that's across your chest, not the one on your back", stated the former Celtic. These comments started the speculation: was this directed to the Mavericks squad in general? was this a direct shot to Luka Doncic?
"I was fortunate too be a part of a team that really wanted to win. It was superexciting, the playstile was fun, everybody touched the ball. I was able to move, cut, knock down shots. So we trust one another, a team that...we've never played with each other or practice with one another. It seemed like everyone had each other's back".
Grant Williams finished that game with 15 points and 8 rebounds in 32 minutes of play. This is almost twice what he averaged during his short tenure with the Mavericks.
Sometimes it seems like it's just a businees and that trades are an example that reminds this fact. But in these kind of situations, a particular trade has benefits for both parts.
