San Antonio Spurs'
Victor Wembanyama has proved to be a real
surprise package this season. The 20-year-old is often regarded as one of the
most highly-rated players currently playing in the competition.
Wembanyama’s recent showings have been nothing short of spectacular
as in the last five matches, he made 28 blocks.
Those numbers left the fans on the social media platform X —
previously known as Twitter — completely stunned. One of them even asked at this
rate, how many blocks the youngster will have in his prime. "So how many
blocks is he gonna average in his prime?” the fan asked. Interestingly, that post
was deleted by the user.
Wembanyama is currently averaging 20.7 points per game which
is the best by any Spurs player this season. To go with that, he is also contributing
10.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Those numbers become even more
impressive considering that the Spurs are currently languishing in the fifth
position in the Southwest Conference with just 11 wins and 47 defeats this
season.
In his most recent outing at the Utah Jazz, Wembanyama ended
up registering 22 points to go with 10 rebounds and two assists.
His most impressive outing this season came in the match against
the Phoenix Suns where he registered 38 points to go with 10 rebounds and two
assists.
