The
Houston Rockets head coach
Ime Udoka has responded to
the words spoken towards him by
Dallas Mavericks star forward
Luka Doncic.
The Rockets’ slim playoffs ended on Sunday as they lost in
overtime to the Mavericks with a score of 147-136 at the American Airlines
Center in Dallas. It was their fifth consecutive defeat in the competition.
Doncic was involved in securing that win in the final
moments of the match and right after that, he was seen saying something towards
the Rockets head coach.
Udoka was later asked by a reporter about what the Mavericks
forward said towards him at that moment, to which he responded by saying: "I
don't understand Slovenian so I don't know."
Doncic was also asked why he felt the need to say something
about the opposing team’s head coach, to which he responded by saying: “He was
talking to me in the first game there, so you know I’m going to go back.”
The star of the show for the winning team on the night was
point guard Kyrie Irving who finished with 48 points to go with seven rebounds
and two assists. He was well-supported by Doncic who ended up registering 37
points to go with nine rebounds and 12 assists.
