The
New Orleans Pelicans power forward
Zion Williamson has
stated that has once again fallen in love with basketball.
The 23-year-old has been one of the star performers for the
franchise this season and he is one of the primary reasons why the Pelicans are
placed on the fifth position in the Western Conference with 36 wins and just 25
defeats.
Williamson was recently quoted in a report where he stated
that he feels good physically once again after spending the last two seasons with
injury concerns and that he has once again fallen in love with the sport.
“People don’t understand how much I really love this
[stuff],” he said. “I pour everything into doing my best for the team and for
the people who support me in New Orleans. I get it.
“You can only go off the information that’s in front of you.
But that’s the great thing about the opportunity we have the rest of the way.
We get to write our own story.”
Williamson is
contributing 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.
His most impressive performance this season came in the match against the
Washington Wizards where he registered 36 points to go with six rebounds and
eight assists.
