Jalen Brunson returned from his knee injury that he suffered a few games ago and he didn’t miss a beat. In this contest, the first-time All-Star took over and led the New York Knicks to a 98-74 victory over the Orlando Magic at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks are one of the deepest teams in the NBA and they have all the pieces to make a deep playoff run. The one thing holding them back is health, as key players such as Julius Randle, OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson have all missed significant time due to injury. This was a huge win for the Knicks as they overtook the Magic in the standings. New York site at 37-26 and is now the 4th seed with half a game lead over Orlando. This team is 4-6 over their last 10 games and will face off against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
On the other hand, this was a huge loss for the Magic as they dropped to 37-27, falling to the 5th seed. Tonight was a struggle for them but despite that, they are still 8-2 over their last 10 games. They will look to bounce back in their next contest against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
