Week 21 of the NBA Regular season is over, and thus, we have the new players selected as the standouts of the past seven days.
Houston Rockets'
Jalen Green has been the best performer in the Western Conference and in the East,
Jalen Brunson, the All-Star point guard of the
New York Knicks, was honored with the award.
The Houston Rockets are enjoying an incredible moment despite having lost for the season to one of their promising star, Alperen Sengun, with a hurt left knee and ankle. One of the reasons for their three-game winning streak has been the level of basketball played by Jalen Green.
The 22-year-old guard came to the league back in 2021 and this year with Ime Udoka as the new head coach, he's fluorishing into a key player on the squad. Green averaged 26.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists as the Houston Rockets went 3-0.
With a 32-35 record, Houston is virtually out of playoff contention, but still, they are only five victories away for the LA Lakers. With 15 games left...who knows?
Jalen Brunson has had an excellent season. Surpassing all expectations, Brunson became the leader of the New York Knicks, taking them to new heights, guiding the franchise to a place they've never been in a long time. Despite several major injuries, the team remained at the top seeds of the East. New York now aspires to have a deep run in the upcoming playoffs, and they have the personnel and the leader to do so.
Brunson averaged 35.7 points and 5.0 assists as the New York Knicks went 3-0. With a 40-27 record, the Knicks could try to steal the third place from the Cavaliers, whom have been dealing with injuries on their main stars.
