Veteran forward
Kevin Durant produced a stunning performance
to help the
Phoenix Suns register an important win over the in-form Denver
Nuggets with a score of 104-97 at the Ball Arena in Denver on Wednesday.
It was the Suns’ fourth win in the last five matches which
kept them in the seventh position in the Western Conference with 43 wins and 30
defeats.
Durant was the star performer for the winning side as he
ended up registering 30 points to go with 13 rebounds, three assists and five
blocks. While doing that, he registered three three-pointers in just four attempts
with an impressive success percentage of 75.
Other than that, he also ended up converting 12 shots from
the field with an efficiency rate of 60 per cent. It was the first time after
six matches that Durant managed to produce 30 or more points for the Suns.
Those numbers from the seasoned campaigner will encourage the
Suns fans going forward towards the business end of the regular season where
they will be hoping that the team will be able to secure their place in the
top-six to avoid the play-in tournament.
Durant is having a fabulous season for the Suns where he has
contributed 27.6 points per game which is the fourth-best in the competition.
To go with that, he has also contributed 6.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.
