Finally some good news for the
New York Knicks. After battling against injuries on their most important players throughout all season, the news that Knicks' big man
Mitchell Robinson could be returning before the end of March is absolutely great. More so, when the status of both Juius Randle and
OG Anunoby remains uncertain with only one month to the beginning of the playoffs.
According to the Athletic's Franz Katz, Robinson has completed a training session for the first time since December, when he injured his left foot and had to undergo repairing surgery.
Initially, it was expected for him to miss the entire season recovering, but fortunately, everything has been going great with his rehab, and Coach Thibodeau confirmed that Mitchell has been cleared to start training alongside his teammates.
New York has been excellent even without a good part of their starting lineup due to serious injuries. The Knicks are currently 4th in the East, playing without Randle, Anunoby and Robinson for at least a month and a half of competition. This speaks volumes about the commitment of the rest of the squad, and the culture installed since Thibodeau arrived.
Robinson played 21 games before his injury, averaging 6.2 points and 10.3 rebounds. He was phenomenal in the offensive glass during last year's playoffs against the Cavs, so his teammates will be glad to have him back protecting the rim.
