The
Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Canada and defeated the
Toronto Raptors 128-11 at Scotiabank Arena behind
LeBron James efficient night.
The future Hall of Famer finished with 23 points and 9 assists on 10/12 shooting for the Lakers.
Anthony Davis also had a big game, ending with 21 points and 12 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell scored a team-high 25 points with 7 three-pointers while Rui Hachimura chipped in 14 points. Austin Reaves struggled in this one as he recorded just 7 points on 2/9 shooting.
RJ Barrett returned from a 9-game absence and scored a game-high 28 points on 61% shooting for the Raptors.
Immanuel Quickley also came back after missing 6 games and he finished with 20 points. Kelly Olynyk and Gradey Dick each contributed 14 points.
Los Angeles improves to 43-33 with this win and sit 1 game behind the Kings for the 8th seed in the West. This was a huge victory for the Lakers as they have a chance to propel themselves up in the standings. They are 7-3 over their last 10 games and will look to pickup another win tomorrow against the Washington Wizards.
Toronto drops to 23-52 with this loss. They welcomed back Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett from extended absences but it still wasn’t enough tonight. The Raptors are preparing for the off-season where they’ll look to build around their newly assembled young core. This team is on a 14-game losing streak and will play against the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.
