Los Angeles Lakers remained quiet troughout this NBA
trade deadline. Despite previous rumors surrounding LA since December, the last hours previous to the closing there was a whispering about them not making any move, and that was the case. Although they've had their ups and downs this season, good performances of players like D'Angelo Russell and the absense of really good offers worth to pull the trigger made led them to not make any move.
Not moving now will allow them to go into next summer with three first rounders to negotiate with and try to sing another star to their roster. NBA rumors have linked them with players like
Donovan Mitchell (who would hardly leave the Cavs for that price) or Trae Young.
Since no players have been traded, we assume that
Darvin Ham, who does not have the utmost respect from
LeBron James nor Anthony Davis, will be the one who will be the one with his job on the line for the next few weeks. Regarding LeBron, there have also been rumors that he could leave next summer and at this point it is difficult to say for sure. In any case, LeBron said in his last statements that he was happy with the roster and it seems that Rob Pelinka and his team have listened to him. We will see how they finish the season and, depending on that, we suppose they will make more or less moves from July onwards.
