Davis' latest injury recurrence echoes a similar incident earlier in March, when he suffered a corneal abrasion to his left eye during a game against the Golden State Warriors. On that occasion, Davis had to seek specialized medical attention due to temporary vision impairment and significant swelling of the eyelid.
Despite the setback, there is optimism within the Lakers camp that Davis will be available for their upcoming matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. However, the team's playoff hopes hang in the balance as they currently sit at the ninth seed in the Western Conference standings, half a game behind the Sacramento Kings.
