NBA fans blame Los Angeles Lakers legendary forward LeBron James after seeing young Scotty Pippen Jr. shine for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The 23-year-old played for the Lakers in the 2022-23 season where he ended up playing just six games and contributed just 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.
Pippen Jr. ended up signing with the Grizzlies on a two-way contract and is clearly having a much better season. In the team’s most recent outing against the Philadelphia 76ers, the young guard shined and registered his career-best 24 points to go with two rebounds and five assists.
That performance left the fans shocked on social media where some went on to blame James for the youngster not having a proper chance to shine at the Lakers
“This is proof LeBron makes players worse,” one user wrote. “Players immediately get better when they stop playing with LeBron lol,” added another user.

Despite his heroics on the night, it was the Sixers who came out on top with a score of 116-96 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis on Saturday.
Overall, Pippen Jr. is having a decent first season for the Grizzlies where he is contributing 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
