With all the amount of undeserved criticism that Luka Doncic is getting nowadays, we are going to pick our side and acknowledge what Doncic has done in the NBA since he got to the league, six seasons ago. Then we'll compare his numbers to the GOAT himself, during his first six seasons as well.
"Twitter in 1989 would have been a wild place," said the account @FlukaMagic, responsible for sharing the statistic below.
The words refer to the unwarranted hatred that would have befallen Jordan at the time, simply for being the best player in the world, just as it befalls Doncic supposedly for being the best in a league where he "doesn't defend" and where he "hasn't managed to win anything."
Luka Doncic's statistics in his first six NBA seasons:.
  • Regular season averages: 29 points, eight rebounds and eight assists per game with 54% TS (True Shooting) and 35% USAGE (volume of use of a player in his team's offensive plays).
  • Playoff averages: 32 points, nine rebounds and eight assists per game with 55% TS (True Shooting) and 38% USAGE (volume of use of a player in his team's offensive plays), in addition to reaching the Conference Finals as the best result.
Michael Jordan's statistics in his first six NBA seasons:.
  • Regular season averages: 32 points, six rebounds and six assists per game with 52% TS (True Shooting) and 34% USAGE (volume of use of a player in his team's offensive plays).
  • Playoff averages: 35 points, six rebounds and six assists per game with 51% TS (True Shooting) and 36% USAGE (volume of use of a player in his team's offensive plays), in addition to reaching the Conference Finals as well  as the best result.
