Jimmy Butler puts up triple double in Miami Heat victory over San Antonio Spurs

Coming off a monster performance last night, Jimmy Butler kept the ball rolling as his dominant play helped lead the Miami Heat to a 116-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs at Kaseya Center.

After a slow start to the season with nagging injuries, Jimmy Butler has started to turn things around. Butler had a fantastic night, finishing with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. All-Star Bam Adebayo had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists while Tyler Herro recorded 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama led the way with 18 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block on 54% shooting. Devin Vassell finished with 19 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal while Tre Jones recorded 19 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists on 64% shooting.

This win improves the Heat to 28-24, which makes them 7th in the Eastern Conference. Miami is now 1 game behind the 6th seeded Indiana Pacers and 0.5 games above the 8th seeded Orlando Magic. They are 4-6 over their last 10 games and currently on a 2-game winning streak. Their next game will be on Sunday afternoon against the Boston Celtics.

Meanwhile, this loss drops the Spurs to 10-41, which makes them 15th in the Western Conference. San Antonio is 3-7 over their last 10 games and currently on a 5-game losing streak. Their next game will be tomorrow night against the Orlando Magic.
