The
Los Angeles Clippers didn't make any big moves before the NBA trade deadline, despite many rumors over the last few weeks of them possibly sending a few players away. Some of the rumors revolved around P.J. Tucker, who has experienced a greatly diminished output so far this year.
NBA rumors said that Tucker could have been given a buyout by the Clippers, but they ended up keeping the 38-year-old player.
Following the lack of movement on Thursday, it was reported that Tucker plans to stay with the Clippers for the rest of the 2023-24 season. So far this year, Tucker has only produced 1.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in just 15 games.
He has fallen out of favor with the team and head coach Tyronn Lue and hardly gets any time on the floor. Tucker has publicly stated that he wants to do more for the team. If the Clippers do not have room for him, he would like to move to another team that can use him.
At the height of his career, Tucker was producing nearly 8 points and 6 rebounds per game. He has played for a number of teams, such as the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, and more. He also won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021.
Tucker is known for his strong defensive skills and experience but, right now, he is not able to share any of that with the Clippers because of his permanent position on the bench.
