The NBA trade deadline is now gone but several teams could still make changes in the weeks ahead. The buyout market has multiple free agents who could be acquired by a number of franchises. These players are often signed for cheaper contracts and often play bench roles but they can still make a huge difference.
From the Golden State Warriors to the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and more, many teams could sign these Free Agency Players like Victor Oladipo, Danilo Gallinari or Joe Harris.
Victor Oladipo
Oladipo has bounced around the NBA over the last few years and most recently made his way to the Houston Rockets. If waived by that team, he will immediately be one of the biggest buyout candidates in the NBA.
His last several seasons have been marred by injuries and setbacks and it's unlikely that Oladipo will ever play like he did at the start of his career. But that is why so many teams would consider signing Oladipo. Because of his recent past, they could get him for a cheap contract.
Danilo Gallinari
Gallinari recently moved from the Washington Wizards to the Detroit Pistons and he is now possibly about to be waived.
Over the years, Gallinari has been a strong shooter and a great playmaker too. He has a solid understanding of spacing the floor and could easily fit into many team lineups, including the Miami Heat, who have been rumored to want him.
With a high basketball IQ and a cheap contract, Gallinari could be very attractive.
Joe Harris
Perhaps the biggest target on the buyout market is Joe Harris. Just a few seasons ago, he led the league in three-point percentage, but since then his output has drastically decreased. A number of injuries have slowed Harris down.
Harris might not yet be fully healed but he needs a team that believes in him, gives him more time on the floor, and is willing to gradually work him into the rotation. If he can be anything like his former self, he could be a sharpshooter that helps a number of teams.
