Golden State improves to 40-34 with this win. It was a huge day for the Warriors as they won and the Rockets lost, so they now hold a 2-game lead for the 10th spot in the West. It has been a battle for the last play-in spot and the Dubs are hoping they can pull away to earn the chance at making the playoffs as the 8th seed. They have been on a roll, winning 4 games in a row and they’ll look to keep this streak up on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
San Antonio drops to 18-57 with this loss and currently hold the 3rd worst record in the NBA. The Spurs have proven that they can stay competitive with playoff caliber teams with Wemby and the next step will be to add more talent around him, which is what the plan is in the off-season. They are 4-6 over their last 10 games and have a date with the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
