The
Golden State Warriors ' head coach
Steve Kerr has heaped praise on the veteran point guard
Chris Paul on his return from a lengthy break.
The 38-year-old finally made a comeback after spending
nearly two months on the sidelines in the match against the Washington Wizards.
Kerr, while talking to the media after the match, heaped
praise on Paul and stated that he is happy to have to have the player back.
"We just handle things better with Chris,” he said. “We've
been playing pretty well over the last month or so. But we’ve really been
looking forward to getting Chris back. You could see why tonight. He's a
plus-17 in 21 minutes, always in control of the game. The way we closed the
third quarter was really important, and he was at the helm.”
Warriors player
Klay Thompson was also full of praise for Paul,
who according to him is one of the greatest to have played the game.
“It’s just a privilege being able to play with him,” said Thompson.
“And I Iook forward to having a great partnership the rest of the season. CP is
one of the greatest to ever see the floor.
“His ability to read
the game, especially offensively, is second to none. We have a great chemistry
out there, especially when I’ve got it going. He’s looking for me. He’s looking
for me off pin-downs, off ball screens, and he’s an incredibly unselfish player.”
