Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier has avoided any major injury as MRI today showed a sprained right knee and he will be evaluated week-to-week, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Rozier suffered the injury Sunday vs. Boston.
Last Sunday the Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in Miami. The loss wasn't the only bad thing for the Heat, as the recently added guard, Terry Rozier suffered an injury on his right knee. Fortunately, the tests results weren't as bad as they feared.
Miami Heat's Terry Rozier was recently added to the squad, in a trade that sent Kyle Lowry to Charlotte, a few weeks ago. Yesterday, in the game against Boston Celtics, Rozier suffered an injury on his right knee. Luckily, the MRI results showed a sprained right knee, which will take several weeks to recover. By Rozier's reaction after the incident, Miami feared much major damage.
Rozier's trade was a good move by the Heat, who got in return a much younger, more athletic guard. "Scary Terry" is known for his offensive skills, as he's a guard whi can create his own shot. While his numbers seemed to have dropped down since he arrived to Florida, it's also true that he just played 9 games, so he was still adjusting to his new role.
Rozier is another name in a long list of health issues for Miami. Yesterday Josh Richardson suffered a shoulder injury and is expected to miss several weeks too. Jimmy Butler is also out indefinitely due to a family loss.
Hopefully the rest of the team figures out how to replace these players in order to at least retain that 8th seed in which they are placed right now, until the full squad reunites again for the last stretch of the regular season.
