Tonight will be a day with very few games in the NBA. Specifically, there will be three, and one of them will be played by
Brooklyn Nets and
Minnesota Timberwolves, two teams with very different situations in their respective Conferences, and with
Mikal Bridges and
Anthony Edwards as their respective stars.
The first-place Timberwolves are in first place in the West with a 39-17 record. Although they are in dire need of the victory they will be looking for today at Brooklyn Pavilion, as they are tied with Oklahoma City Thunder, who also have the same balance.
Minnesota will be led by Edwards, who has been in the news in recent hours due to some statements in which, after being compared to Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the three great stars of the NBA's future, the T-Wolves player has stated that he is "better than both of them, 100%".
Brooklyn, meanwhile, finds itself in 11th place in the East without really the goal of competing for playoff spots. With a 21-34 record and having recently fired head coach Jacque Vaughn, the New York franchise also can't focus on getting the best possible position heading into the Draft, as their first round pick will go to the Houston Rockets.
That said, according to the experts, these will be the quintets of the two teams and this is how a duel that a priori should not have too much history and that 'Minny' should win.
- Nets 5: Ben Simmons - Cam Thomas - Mikal Bridges - Dorian Finney-Smith - Nic Claxton
- Timberwolves 5: Mike Conley - Anthony Edwards - Jaden McDaniels - Karl-Anthony Towns - Rudy Gobert
- Winner: Minnesota Timberwolves, except for a major surprise, due to the difference in ambitions, will be the winner of the game without many complications.
