Trade Deadline: The
Indiana Pacers finalize a three-part trade to acquire All-Star
Pascal Siakam in a deal that sends Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks to the
Toronto Raptors, two first-round picks in 2024 and one in 2026. New Orleans is the third team in the deal, sending Kira Lewis to the Raptors and a second round pick to the Pacers.
Most notable is Pascal Siakam's enthusiasm to join the Pacers. Sources close to the player have revealed that Siakam is eager to work out a new contract with the franchise this summer, as he could become a free agent in July.
As for the first round picks involved, the Pacers will send their own picks in 2024 and 2026, as well as the worst of the picks between Utah, Houston, Clippers and OKC in 2024.
Pascal Siakam's agent, Todd Ramasar, expressed his excitement about his client's opportunity with the Pacers. In a statement to Andscape, Ramasar said, "I'm excited that Pascal is getting a prime opportunity with the Pacers, being teammates with Tyrese and Myles and being coached by a great coach like Rick Carlisle. His future there looks bright."
