Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics are, by far, the two best teams in the current NBA. Boston is proving it with a legendary regular season on par with the best teams in history. The Nuggets, the reigning champions, are proving it in this final stretch of the year in which they are already in playoff mode, regardless of whether they finish first or third in the West, there is no doubt that they are the best in the Conference;
Last night, after a tough loss to Denver, the Celtics had a tough test that they solved perfectly by beating Phoenix Suns 107-117 away from home with their stars at the highest level: Jayson Tatum with 29 points and Jaylen Brown with 27. They accumulated 49 points and 14 losses and (except against Nikola Jokic) seem completely unstoppable.
Yesterday they managed to win despite Kevin Durant's 45 points and Bradley Beal's 25 in a Suns that do not work if (as yesterday with Devin Booker) a member of their Big Three is missing. They are currently seventh out of playoff places.
IMPARABLES NUGGETS.
The Denver Nuggets, meanwhile, continue to put pressure on the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves to finish with the best record in the West and yesterday easily defeated the Utah Jazz 142-121 with 37 points from Jamal Murray, who is more and more on fire, and 26 points (12 of 14 from the field) and 8 assists from the best player in the world: Nikola Jokic.
