With another edition of "NBA Basketball without borders" we came to know some intriguing young talents from all over the world. After drills and live games, here we bring some of the standouts.
International talent is always welcomed in the NBA. With players like Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokuonmpo and Nikola Jokic among the league's bests, this young players could have a bright future waiting ahead. From Noa Essengue and Mohamed Diakite from France, Moustapha Thiam and Khaman Maluach from Senegal and South Sudan respectively, and representing Qatar Hamad Mousa, are the living proof that basketball is a global game.
1 Noa Essengue (Power Forward)
Essengue looks dominant with his size (6’9 195 PF, 6’11 wingspan). This french player could be impactful at both ends of the floor, with a standout athleticism. He does need to improve his outside shooting as well as technique as a finisher.
2 Moustapha Thiam (Center)
Thiam is a legitimate 3&D big man prospect. He has the lenght and instincts to block shots, and he can defend on and off the ball. He has a respectable three-point shot and a consistent shooting overall. He needs to add muscle to climb to higher positions in this top.
3 Hamad Mousa (Shooting guard)
Mousa really strived in the camp, showing a well-rounded offensive game. He showed that he can play on and off the ball, with a nice shot. He has the speed and the athleticism as well. Solid candidate for coming to the NBA.
4 Khaman Maluach (Center)
Maluach showed awesome defensive skills, very vocal and a good help defender, blocking or altering a good number of shots. Offensively he can shoot from 3PT, but it’s still a work in progress and he does need some work with his low-post game and footwork. His size and strenght are remarkable as well, standing at  7’1, 225 pounds, with 7’4.5 wingspan.
5 Mohamed Diakite (Power forward)
Diakite proved to be a good inside and outside shooter, although he needs to work on his releasing time. He's a good athlete, and can finish at the rim without problem. He has a good upside regarding his defensive versatility, but needs to work in his positioning and overall defensive awareness.
