NBA’s legendary star
Michael Jordan was reportedly banned
from betting on the Daytona 500. The 61-year-old is the owner of the 23XI
Racing taking part in the NASCAR Cup Series which features the likes of Bubba
Wallace and Tyler Reddick.
The team was established back in 2020 by Jordan along with
three-time Dayton winner Denny
Hamlin. As per the latest report, the legendary basketball star will not
be able to bet on a Daytona 500 event.
The report
suggested it is because NASCAR does not allow owners, drivers and crew members
to bet on the same sport where they are an active part.
Jordan remains
one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. He registered a number of
milestones in his illustrious career. He won the NBA championship six times.
All of those championships came while playing for the
Chicago Bulls.
In all of those
championship-winning seasons, Jordan was named the Finals Most Valuable Player
(MVP). On five occasions, he was named as the NBA’s MVP For the season. He won
two Olympic gold medals for his country in 1984 and 1992.
Jordan played more than 1000 games in his career and finished with a staggering
average of 30.1 points per game to go with 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists. In total,
he ended up registering more than 32,000 points.
