One of the most exciting players to watch during the 2010's was without a doubt "KryptoNate" Robinson. The point guard brought highlights to every team he played for, especially if we consider that Nate was just 5-9 inches tall, one of the smallest guys to play in the NBA. Sadly, Robinson is now battling with a kidney failure since last year, and in a recent interview he shared his insights about this challenging health situation.
"My path, man, every day, one day at a time. It's hard, but at the same time, I love a challenge," Robinson shared. "So every day is a new day for me. I just try to walk right with God. I just try to ask him to give me the strength to be able to get through what I'm going through."
Robinson's struggle is really tough. He currently undergoes dialysis three times a week for four hours each session. This process is vital as it helps cleanse his blood and remove all toxins from his body. Despite the ups and downs, Robinson clings to hope and determination, finding strength in his faith and love for his family.
"I'm still looking for a kidney to this day," Robinson reveals. "Some days are worse than others, but I'm blessed and happy to still be here to see my kids and do the things I love to do."
Robinson's journey has not been easy, but despite the challenges, he finds gratitude in the small victories and moments of joy. He is grateful to be present for his loved ones and values each day as a gift.
"It's been difficult, but it's been a great ride, a great roller coaster," Robinson reflects.
