NBA fans were unhappy with the
Los Angeles Lakers' another poor
performance, this time against the
Phoenix Suns. The side went on to lose the contest
with a score of 123-113 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on Saturday.
That was their second defeat in the last three matches which
left them on the ninth position in the Western Conference with just 31 wins and
28 defeats this season.
After the match, fans on the social media platform X—previously
known as Twitter—expressed their anger at the performance of some of the
players on the night.
One user went on to say that it is high time to accept
that someone like
Austin Reaves is a bench player and nothing else.
“AD looked old. He picked up the pace in the 4th, but still
seemed overmatched. How, in a game where Phoenix plays both centers a healthy
amount of minutes, do we only give Jaxson Hayes only 6? Time to accept Reaves
as a bench player and end the hype. Phoenix exploited him,” the user wrote.
The statement did
make some sense, especially considering how Reaves was a passenger on the night
for the Lakers. The 25-year-old played 35 minutes for the losing team but ended
up contributing just 14 points to go with four rebounds and four assists.
