Trade Deadline: Years ago, Royce O'Neale of the Brooklyn Nets played alongside Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley when they were all with the Utah Jazz. If the Minnesota Timberwolves get their way, these three players could be on the court together again soon.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly expressed interest in signing O'Neale. The Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks are also allegedly interested in landing O'Neale.
O'Neale is a very talented, versatile player who could quickly fit into the Bucks' rotation. He has a career average of 38% from the three-point line. This season he is averaging 7.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 38.4% from the floor and 362.% from the three-point line.
O'Neale brings a special brand of physical rebounding that would also help the Timberwolves, who currently have the best defensive rating in the NBA. He could help them further limit some of the biggest stars in the league, such as Zion Williamson and Julius Randle.
The Timberwolves don't have a lot of money to spend, which means that they will have to package a deal with some remaining players, such as Kyle Anderson, Shake Milton, or Troy Brown Jr.
