At first look, it didn’t look too good but after receiving an MRI, the results are a lot better than expected. The 21-year-old center was diagnosed with a severe high ankle sprain and a bone bruise. While these ailments will cost him the remainder of the season, things could have been a lot worse for the Most Improved Player candidate.
Fred VanVleet scored a team-high 21 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jalen Green finished with 16 points and 7 boards while Jabari Smith Jr. recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Dillon Brooks had 14 points in his 30 minutes of play.

Houston improves to 30-35 with this win and remain the 11th seed in the West. They have been showing improvement as of late, winning 3 games in a row and going 6-4 over their last 10. Their next matchup will be against the Washington Wizards on Thursday.
San Antonio drops to 14-52 with this loss and they currently have the 3rd worst record in the league. They will look to add a top 3 pick alongside Victor Wembanyama and hope to build a dynasty for years to come. The Spurs are 3-7 over their last 10 games and will face off against the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
