San Antonio Spurs' young star Victor Wembanyama has been ruled out of the match against the Sacramento Kings. Both sides will meet on Thursday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
Wembanyama, who is often regarded as one the most highly-rated players currently playing in the competition, As per the latest report, will not feature in the match because of a sprained right ankle.
This will be the seventh match missed by the 20-year-old because of fitness concerns. The development will be a huge setback for Spurs who have heavily relied on Wembanyama to produce the goods this season.
The Le Chesnay-born has been a star performer for the Spurs this season as he has contributed 20.7 points per game, the best by any player from the franchise. That’s not it as he has also contributed 10.3 rebounds which is the 12th best in the division. To go with that, he is also averaging 3.4 assists, 3. 4 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
Wembanyama’s most impressive outing this season came in the match against the Phoenix Suns back in November where he contributed 38 points to go with 10 rebounds and two assists.
Spurs are going through a very disappointing campaign where they are placed at the bottom of the Western Conference with just 13 wins and 49 defeats this season.
