Yesterday, the Milwaukee Bucks faced the Sacramento Kings, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The game resulted in a blow out in favor of De'Aaron Fox and his Kings, but the high note was without a doubt the insane putback dunk of Milwaukee's Andre Jackson Jr and the reactions of both benchs.
In a game were almost everything went in Sacramento's way, nearly destroying one of the Eastern Conference best teams in this season, the Milwaukee Bucks had something to celebrate.
With the game decided, both head coachs, Doc Rivers and Mike Brown decided to play the bottom of their benchs. Sacramento was up by 46 with less than two minutes for the end of the game, AJ Green dribbles inside and pulls up for a mid-range but misses the shot, but then, out of nowhere, Andrew Jackson Jr came flying (almost literally) to grab the rebound and finish with a putback throw-down. The play was so unbelievable that some members of the Kings bench grabbed their heads in complete awe.
Jackson Jr jumped so high that his head and shoulders ended up above the rim. Absolutely outstanding athleticism.
After that in press conference, Kings' star De'Aaron fox commented about this amazing sequence:
"Kevin's [Huerter] reaction was crazy. I don't know if y'all saw, I hit him on the head and he's like, 'He's from upstate.' Iā€™m like, 'Bro, I don't care. The first thing people are gonna see is how we react" said Fox laughin. "He got us, for sure," he concluded.
Damian Lillard, Jackson Jr teammate also praised the play made by the 22-year-old:
"When you get beaten up by 30 I don't think its appropriate to celebrate or even acknowledge a big play that you make, but when he did it I was like, you know...that was crazy, probably the dunk of the year so far."
