The
Boston Celtics have received a major boost as their star
player
Jrue Holiday has returned to light workouts. The 33-year-old in a quote on Friday raised alarm bells when
he announced that he was struggling with a dead arm.
Holiday was seen before the Celtics doing some light workout
match against the Chicago Bulls which would have delighted the fans, especially
with the playoffs around the corner.
Holiday was also quoted in a report where he expressed his
desire to keep playing the game without too long of a break.
“I still want to play,” he said. “That’s part of the reason
I play basketball. But it’s also keeping rhythm. Sometimes when you’re out for
a long time you break rhythm, but I feel like I’ve been in a good groove and I
want to continue to play.”
Holiday is having a decent season for the Celtics where he
has already contributed 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
His best performance this season came in the match against
the Toronto Raptors where he ended up registering 22 points to go with six
rebounds and seven assists.
The Celtics are going through a great season where they are certain
to finish on top of the Eastern Conference table with 57 wins and 14 defeats.
