The
New York Knicks visited Giannis Antetokoumpo's
Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
OG Anunoby was a defensive factor on the Knicks' win 122-109. The small forward returned after being sidelined for three weeks due to a nagging elbow injury and produced a major impact disrumpting the Bucks' offense.
New York is just one game shy of the 2nd in the Eastern Conference and with Anunoby healthy the Knicks are a very different animal. OG's versatility allows him to lock down the opposite team's best player regardless of his position. And that's precisely what we see in the following video.
Anunoby looked in shape, no question about that. He had to guard
Giannis Antetokounmpo, and he won that duel. The Greek Freak finished the game with 28 points shooting 50% from the field. Giannis averages 61% this season. While he was all over Giannis, OG managed to switch on
Damian Lillard and caused him problems as well. How about the energy that he puts, definitely, if OG stays healthy he's a defensive player of the year candidate, and with
Jalen Brunson, he can take the Knicks deep into the playoffs.
